Dana Point Symphony presents Symphony Spectacular aboard the Brig Pilgrim at the Ocean Institute located at 24200 Dana Point Harbor Drive. An ocean themed extravaganza with the Symphony, singers, dancers, chorus from South Orange County School of the Arts, and high-flying aerialist dancers from the Luminario Ballet of Los Angeles. Let the symphony transport you into a spectacle never seen before in Dana Point. This is a not-to-miss event. Tickets limited.
There will be three performances:
• March 7th evening performance only at 7 PM
• March 8th will feature a matinee at 3 PM and evening performance at 7 PM
The mission of the Dana Point Symphony is to provide world-class classical music to Dana Point and surrounding community, and make it accessible to everyone. The Dana Point Symphony was created through the vision of its artistic and executive director Berenika Schmitz, Dean Anderson, conductor and music director and The City of Dana Point under the leadership of Councilmember Scott Schoeffel. In addition to presenting high caliber music, the Dana Point Symphony features one visual artist exhibition at the meet-the-artist receptions. Each concert experience is artistically crafted to the desires of the audience.

The Premiere Evening at the Ocean Institute featureing a Gala Gourmet Dinner and Jazz Performance. The elegant, intimate affair includes a cocktail reception with passed canapés, and an award-winning, four-course taste extravaganza with wine pairing. The dinner is specially created for this event and prepared by celebrated local chefs from the St. Regis Monarch Beach Resort & Spa, Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa, Montage Laguna Beach, and The Ritz-Carlton, Laguna Niguel. The evening also includes connoisseur silent and live auctions.

Whale of a Concert and BBQ In honor of the whales migrating by Dana Point Headlands “singing their song” the Festival of Whales festivities will include a FREE outdoor concert at Baby Beach with bands performing on the water on a specially designed stage. Concert will begin at noon with Small World Band (Rock) performing from 12 – 1 pm, Keston & The Rhythm Killers (Rock) performing from 1:30 – 3 pm and Wild Child (Doors Tribute) performing form 3:30 – 5 pm.
Bring your beach chairs, towels and blankets and enjoy an afternoon of musical entertainment. Concessions for scrumptious BBQ specialties will also be available, including a Spirits Garden for those over 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
