Getting to and getting around the Dana Point Festival of Whales has never been easier!
The Festival’s FREE shuttle gets you to each every event location – just hop on board at any shuttle stop and get off when you reach your destination. Get on and off as many times as you like – it’s FREE! The shuttle runs every day of the Festival from 10 AM – 4 PM. Please refer to the Festival EVENT MAP for quick and easy reference to all shuttle stops. Programs with a pull out map are available on board the shuttle and throughout the Harbor or refer to our smartphone app available for download through the Apple iPhone and Android app stores.
There are multiple parking lots throughout the Festival. Some of these lots fill earlier than others, but ALL lots are serviced by the FREE shuttle.
• Park free for up to 4 hours in most Harbor lots. Please remember, 4 hours maximum in these lots.
• Park at Doheny State Park ALL day for only $8
Water Taxi – NEW THIS YEAR
Daily service from 10 AM to 2 PM during the two Festival weekends will be offered between Dana Wharf and the Ocean Institute for a minimal round trip fee of only $3 per person. Present your Metrolink ticket, OCTA bus pass or 91 Express Lanes transponder and ride the water taxi for only $1 round trip.
Tickets may be purchased at Dana Wharf Sportfishing & Whale Watching or at the Ocean Institute. Park and then ride this fun new water taxi and take in all the great sites from the water! Your captain will share interesting facts and features about the Dana Point area and it’s fascinating history. Ride all day for only $5 per person!
Whales don the walkways of Doheny State Beach. This is just part of the beauty you can experience when parking at Doheny State Park where the Festival’s FREE shuttle services the area approximately every 15 minutes. PARK and RIDE and migrate with the whales!
