The Festival of Whales and Ocean Institute invite you to a sunset welcoming ceremony by members of the local Acjachemen Nation, along with a Dana Point Surf Club paddle out at the Marine Protected Area beach behind the Ocean Institute.

Following the beach ceremony (slated to kick-off at 5pm), a reception will be held inside the Ocean Institute.

Ocean Institute’s free interactive educational activities and displays will be open and the event will have live music.

Food truck cuisine and beverages, including beer from Los Molinos, will be available for purchase.  Coffee Importers/Rubee June Bakery will also be opening their doors and featuring a curated Festival menu beginning at 5pm!

Festival of Whales merchandise will be available for purchase.

This event is free. Families and friends of all ages are welcome.
